overview | cadmium arsenide chemical formula Cd3As2. Molecular weight 487.04. Gray-black cubic crystal. Poisonous! Melting point 721 ℃, relative density 6.2115. Soluble in nitric acid, slightly soluble in hydrochloric acid, insoluble in water and aqua regia. AsH3 can be released in case of acid, and it can burn in case of oxidant. Preparation method: arsenic is applied to a weak ammonia solution of cadmium sulfate. If cadmium and arsenic are heated in an inert gas, the resulting cadmium arsenide product is a light red crystal with a non-ionic structure. Purpose: As a chemical reagent. |
